Frequently Asked Questions

Will it be free?

We want to make as many features as possible free of charge. We will offer some premium features for a small fee to help us keep the lights on: bigger project size limits, live collaboration, and more.

Will you need an account?

You will not need an account to use Nema Studio. You can use it as a guest and save your projects locally. If you want to save your projects in the cloud, you will need to create an account.

Will it work on mobile?

Because Nema Studio is built on top of web technologies, it will work on any device with a sufficiently modern web browser. We try our best to make the experience as good as possible on all devices.

Will it work offline?

Yes! We want to make sure that you can use Nema Studio even when you don't have an internet connection. Some features will not be available of course, but you will still be able to create and edit your projects by saving them locally.

Will it have a standalone client?

We plan to release a standalone client for Windows, Mac, and Linux. It will provide the same experience as the web version while also having some additional features that are not possible in the browser.

Will it support VSTs?

Supporting existing plugin formats, like VST, is a very big missing feature in the web audio ecosystem. We plan to have some support for them in the future, but it might be exclusive to the standalone client for some time.
